INSTALLATION

1. Check the shop drawing is approved.
2. Check the method statement is approved.
3. Check the materials are approved.
4. Check the material types & sizes are correct.
5. Check the earthing and lightning protection system is free of foreign materials.
6. Check the alignment of conductors are correct.
7. Check the conductors are fixed properly with clips, straps and clamps.
8. Check the clips/strap/clamp spacing is adequate.
9. Check the jointing and welding points of conductors are fixed properly.
10. Check the rods are installed at correct positions (to the coordinates provided by survey team).
11. Check the test joints are accessible.
12. Check the earthing jumpers installed as per project requirements.
13. Check the earth bar cable jointing bolts are screwed properly.
14. Check thermoweld connections are according to the specifications.
15. Check all lugs are properly crimped and bolted.
16. Check the vertical and horizontal position straightness of earthing & lightning protection installation.

FINAL CHECKS

1. Check there are no missing/damaged parts in the installation.
2. Check that there are no sharp edges/burrs on the installations.
3. Test earth resistance by calibrated test device.
4. Check continuity of the earthing cables.
