Distribution Board Checklist

  1. Check name plate, labelling, ID tags and warning signs correct to drawings / data sheets.
  2. Holding down arrangement correct and secure as per manufactures specification.
  3. Confirm no mechanical damage, doors operate and seals undamaged.
  4. Earth bar and earthing correct and tight. Check earth path resistance. (_________________Ω)
  5. Confirm tightness of circuit wiring connections.
  6. All internal cabling and wiring correct and neat.
  7. Bus bars and connecting links tight.
  8. Phase identification correct.
  9. Check internals for cleanliness.
  10. Check manual operation of selector switch, MCB, push button, etc.
  11. Distribution schedule / circuit identification fitted inside board.
  12. Confirm spare cable entries are correctly sealed as per specification.
  13. Fuses / breakers correct size and undamaged.
  14. Glanding correct (type, size, installation) and approved grease applied.
  15. Heaters correctly installed, measure & record insulation resistance. (_________________ MΩ)
  16. Confirm isolation locking mechanisms functional.
  17. Confirm all covers / bolts are of correct type and fitted.
  18. Installation drawings have been “Red Lined” as per the Project Completions Procedure.
  19. Check insulation resistance between earth and phases and phases to phases. (Test Voltage _________________V)
