INSTALLATION of CABLES

1. Check the shop drawing is approved.
2. Check the method statement is approved.
3. Check the materials are approved.
4. Check the material types & sizes are correct (glands, lugs etc.)
5. Check the cables are free of foreign materials.
6. Check the cable trays and conduits are free of sharp edges.
7. Check the cable drum setting position is correct.
8. Check the cable pulling tension is adequate.
9. Check the cables are tied properly to the cable trays.
10. Check the cable ends and penetrations are labeled.
11. Check the cable connections are proper.
12. Check cables in trenches are protected (where applicable)
13. Check cable markers.
14. Check core identification ferrules.

FINAL CHECKS

1. Check the continuity of the cables.
2. Check that there are no damaged parts in the installations.

INSPECTION AND TESTING

1. Check the cables are installed as per approved shop drawings.
2. Check the insulation resistance of the cables are as per specifications and regulations.
